Team History
MJS Robotics was founded in 2016-2017 in the Vex Robotics Season Starstruck. Before we became an independent team one of our members (Mikkel) started in the Vex Iq Robotics Challenge 2014-2015 Highrise. (Mikayla) which is also a team member started robotics in Junior Botball. To learn more about our team in previous seasons click on the different challenge(s) we have participated in below this one.
Vex IQ Challenge Highrise is played on a 4x8ft field with cubes placed in three rows, each with 3 colors (red, blue, and green) and 11 cubes. The objective of the game is to stack the assigned colored cubes into its goal. Stacked cubes earn more points. This challenge is similar to Tower Takeover but without scoring cubes into towers/posts.
Junior Botball is a robotics program for students in elementary. It is mostly about building a robot and programming it to do different challenges like tracking a line or avoiding soda cans and going back to its starting point. Lego parts are used to build the robots and are supposed to fit within its starting box. After a challenge is achieved each member recieves a pin.
