2016-2017 Crossover
Team 655Z
In 2016-2017, it was the first season that MJS has teamed up to represent our middle school in the state of Hawaii. Mikkel was in 8th grade and Mikayla in 6th grade. Further into the season we purchased our first Vex IQ kit as a birthday gift to work on the robot at home. Our team 655Z did not qualify to the Hawaii State Competition but we were later informed by our school's robotics mentor that we were invited to the Middle School Hawaii State Championship and ranked 16. In the finals we scored 83 points with our alliance partner and won the Teamwork 2nd Place Award which qualified our team to the Vex IQ Robotics World Championship.
